Dr. Young has served the publishing and electronic media industry for over 20 years. He began his career with Frank Wills of Mnemosyne Publishing in Miami, working to create facsimile copies of important academic manuscripts no longer in print. In 1997, while doing graduate work, he founded Dissertation.com to help make academic thesis and dissertations more accessible to students and researchers. Since then, two nonfiction publishing imprints have been added, Universal Publishers, and BrownWalker Press. He has a Ph.D. in Comparative Studies from Florida Atlantic University, in addition to a master's degree in Communication, bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and an associate's degree in Electronic Technology.

Dr. Siddiqui's love of books and experience in academia attracted her to a job in acquisitions in 2002. Her position has evolved to include artistic direction and supervision of production. She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Studies, an M.A. in Sociology, and bachelor degrees in Sociology and Women's Studies. Her research focuses on feminist pedagogy in higher education.

Our publications are sold in paperback and ebook editions through major on-line booksellers such as Amazon.com, BarnesAndNoble.com, and via special order through thousands of physical booksellers worldwide. We also have arrangements with large wholesale distributors including Ingram Book Company with worldwide distribution. In addition to four production and distribution facilities in the US, and locations in United Kingdom and Australia the network includes printing and distribution in Brazil, China, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Spain, UAE, Singapore and Argentina.


Paperback & Electronic Formats

All our titles are available in paperback, ebook and audiobook editions when possible. The first 25 pages are made available on-line for free at Universal-Publishers.com, and previews at major booksellers. In addition, we offer a variety of digital options via major ebook platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple iBooks and Google Books, BN.com. Our flowing text digital format makes it fast, easy, and inexpensive to access, with some ebook readers allowing readers to switch between the original print format and flowing text optimized for reading on any sized mobile and desktop screens.


Top Royalties

Author royalties are based on the retail price so you know exactly how much each sale is worth. Our authors have access to one of the highest royalty amounts in the publishing business: from 10% to 40% of the retail price depending on the mode and the level of the sale.


Speed

Depending on how well your manuscript is prepared, it can be ready to promote and distribute in as little as two or three months.


Author Friendly Publishing Agreement

Author retains all copyrights. Easily terminable contract after 2000 copies sold or two years, whichever comes first.


Library Classification Assignment

Publishers Cataloging-in-Publication (CIP) data is assigned for qualifying titles that are likely to be acquired by libraries.



Conference Proceeding Publishers

The Conference Proceedings Publisher is a service from BrownWalker Press for trade and academic conference organizers to publishing their conference proceedings. The purpose is to provide conference attendees and the general public easy access to your conference proceedings and the papers presented at your scholarly event.

Academic Conferences, CFPs, Journal Article and Trade Event Postings

Our Event posting system lists thousands of academic CFPs and trade events in hundreds of categories. Users may Add, Search and receive alerts when events of interest are added. All functions are free, and publicly accessible. When a new CFP or event is posted by a conference organizer, it immediately becomes part of the publicly accessible database, tagged and categorized with similar events. Users benefit by being able to easily find and filter events of interest, and may opt to be alerted via email when events of interest are added to the database. Conference organizers benefit from added publicity, and increased search rankings from reciprocal links back to their event homepage. Event organizers may opt to feature their events by added a reciprocal link to their event in the BrownWalker database.
